Our Process

“Award winning design, exceptional quality, on time and within budget”

At the Blake Company/Mutschler Kitchens this phrase is more than an empty motto. We recognize that we are not always our clients’ lowest cost option for home renovation. However, we believe that our processes and standards make us the highest quality option in the area. We are pleased to have this opportunity to explain our processes and procedures from the first client meeting to the final punch list.

We understand that for most people remodeling a kitchen, a whole house, or even a bathroom can be a daunting task. There are so many unknowns, such as: How much it will cost? How long it will take? Will the work start and stop with seemingly unnecessary delays? How do I choose appliances, fixtures, tile, cabinets, hardware, etc.? Will there be unexpected cost overruns?

These are all legitimate concerns and over the last 30 years we have developed processes help answer these questions and to lead us from our first client meeting to job completion. The processes and our management of them distinguish us from our competitors and lead us to very satisfied clients and exceptional projects.

  •  We will have a series of meetings with the clients to go from initial discussions to detailed specifications, construction plans, and a signed building agreement.

  • Throughout this entire process our experienced design professionals will guide you, utilizing the extensive samples and catalogues in our showroom.

  • Once the building agreement is signed, we work with our suppliers to determine delivery dates for all of the components we will need and then coordinate a start-date with the clients based on these lead times.

  • Prior to starting your job, we will have a coordination meeting to review the building process with you. Throughout construction, we will keep you informed about progress so that there will be no unwelcome surprises.

  • As the job nears completion, we will work with you to determine all of the items that need to be completed and address any questions or concerns that you might have.

  • After the job is complete, we will remain available to you if you have any follow-up questions.

  • During the year after completion of the job, we will be available to correct any warranty issues.

  • Our goal is to achieve complete customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional quality, on time and within budget.
